Scottish National Gallery

The history of the Scottish National Gallery is presented here. when I got to the airport in London. After refreshing, I made the decision to visit these locations. I chose to visit the Scottish National Gallery first. I needed a cab for the trip, therefore. I reserved a company cab, and the company service was excellent throughout. The driver, the cab, the transfer, and the meet and greet were all excellent. the driver took me there in a very comfortable manner. Great museum. The collection is relatively small, but about a third of it is represented by the great masters. I saw their exhibition at the Frick in 2014 with Botticelli, El Greco, Velazquez, and Sargent and was aware of the presence of Rembrandt, Halse, and early Vermeer, which was a particular interest of mine (I canceled a visit to Edinburgh in 2018 because it was traveling with the exhibition in Tokyo or somewhere else).

In addition, they have works by Vasari, del Sarto, Maes, Metsu, Dou, Lievens, and two excellent Gauguins, as well as a small collection of Impressionists. And revisiting Sargent's famous portrait of Lady Agnew of Lochnaw was great. I went to see the Sargent painting and found the people at the gallery to be so nice. It's a small gallery with a nicely curated selection of images. And - the restaurant has amazing food - the best mac and cheese anywhere! I keep thinking about it. Oh my goodness, that was good!

This art museum has Degas, Monet, and painter John Singer Sargent as well as Scottish painters. Although it is a small museum, there is something for everyone. The museum is free. The paintings are well displayed, there was not a big crowd at lunchtime. Don't be put off by working outdoors, the exhibits are freely accessible. A very impressive collection covering many centuries of painting, some very well known and others that should be. And when you're done, there's an excellent restaurant downstairs. some famous things of Gallery, Diana and Actaeon were painted by Renaissance artists of the 16th century Tiziano Vecelli (1488-1576), and are considered to be one of Titian’s finest works. It shows the moment Actaeon enters the goddess Diana's bathing ritual with her nymphs, who seem startled.

It’s one of the works that was acquired by both the National Gallery in London and the museum in Scotland for the huge sum of £50 million. The other acquired painting was “Diana and Callisto” for £45 million a few years later. Both museums alternately feature both pieces on display. Old Woman Frying Eggs is one of the greatest works by Spanish artists of the Baroque period named Diego Velázquez (1599-1660). It was created by him in his formative years in his native Seville in southern Spain, just before he moved to Madrid to work as King Philip IV of Spain's court painter. The intense realism and magnificent use of light make this one of the most intriguing paintings at the Scottish National Gallery. Given that both of the figures are represented in other works by Velázquez, it is likely that they represent members of the artist's family and depict a common scene.
